It can be so hard to make sure you are choosing the right brow artist for Microblading! So I thought I would make up a list of questions for you guys to ask before you make an appointment with an artist! PLUS I give you the answer’s to expect so you can make sure you can feel confident with your choice!

Who is a good candidate for Microblading?

  • Microblading is a great solution for sparse and shapeless eyebrows. It can also be used for in more extreme cases like patients with eyebrow hair loss. It is ideal for working individuals who have very busy schedules and wish to look always have amazing brows.

How often should I get them touched up?

  • For Microblading, after your six week touch up you should only expect to need a touch up every 18-24 months. (Once the pigment has faded about 60%)

How long should the service take?

  • For Microblading you can expect it to take anywhere between an hour and a half to two hours.

How do you determine the proper shape of the brows?

  • There are multiple different methods, but I will always recommend an artist using the Golden Ratio Method. PLUS they should be making sure they are perfectly symmetrical including the fronts, arches, thickness, and tails.

Will Microblading damage my natural brow hairs?

  • Nope! Already existing natural hairs will not be removed or damaged, they are even preferable to blend with the hair-like-strokes to give a more natural look. But if any of the hairs fall outside the desired shape, we will take care of them at your appointment!

Is Microblading Painful?

  • I take every precaution necessary to ensure that it is as pain-free as possible! A topical anesthetic will be applied to numb the area prior to the procedure and then reapplied half way through! Some clients find that the procedure is a little uncomfortable, and some say that it is entirely painless.

How will I look right after the service?

  • Your brows may be a little swollen, and sometimes a bit red. They will be considerably darker for the first few days before they begin to fade out to a softer color.

Who should NOT be getting Microblading done?

  • You should not receive Microblading if any of the following apply to you…

  • Using Accutane

Have Diabetes ( will require a physician’s note)

    Have skin disease or irritations.

Have heart conditions or using heart medications.

Have had Botox in the last two weeks.

Have gotten a deep tan or chemical peels in the last 2 weeks.

Allergic to Lidocaine, Benzocaine, Tetracaine or Epinephrine.

Anyone who has any serious medical conditions may require a physician’s note.

    Pregnant or nursing clients.

Please make sure to check that your potential artist has the correct licensing as well! There is no shame in being thorough and asking all the correct questions! This is your face we are talking about! The last thing you should do is select a brow artist blindly and end up with brows that you don’t love.

As always, feel free to email me with any questions!! I hope you all have a beautiful Saturday!
