4 Steps That Helped Me Actually Achieve My Goals.
How many times have you mentioned that one thing you were hoping to do but never actually accomplished? If you were anything like me two years ago, that’s too many! This past year I’ve found multiple strategies that work well for me and help me ACTUALLY achieve my goals!
WRITE IT DOWN- I know you’ve heard it a million times but I promise there’s a reason for that. I wrote down some business goals at the beginning of 2020 and included when I hoped to accomplish them by. I legit surprised myself when I looked back and realized I had hit EVERY SINGLE ONE and more… it was crazy! Even if you write it down just to remind yourself what you’re wishing for, it’s so fun to look back on. Try it!
Find an Acountability Partner - This really took my goals to the next level. I have a dear friend who is a fellow business owner and we started meeting every two weeks (when I did her lash fills lol) and would discuss where we were at, and what we wanted to accomplish in the next two weeks. BOTH our businesses started to SOAR! We would check in half way and see how the other was doing, if they were stuck, and what we could do to help motivate/push each other. You can apply this method with your spouse or friend and use it for the gym, health, family, housework, ANYTHING! It’s magic.
Stop Watching Movies or TV Shows While You’re Working Towards Your Goals - I know this is a hard one.. My husband mentioned it to me last year and I was being stubborn and wouldn’t try it. But when I finally did, BOY he was right. I got SO much more work done when I was listening to music! Podcasts are great too! Just make sure it’s not one you’re going to be sad about if you miss what they’re saying.
Lists - My husband teases me of how many lists I make. But it helps so much! I think about my goal and what I need to do to actually get it, and while i’m thinking I jot EVERYTHING down. Kinda like a reverse map! Slowly, I start checking off the list one by one and it’s the best feeling knowing I have a clear path to get me where I want to go and I’m doing things that will actually help me to get where I want to be!
I hope you found at least ONE of these helpful! Let me know if you implement any of them into your goal setting! You got this and literally can achieve anything you want!
