How to Maintain Microbladed Brows After The Healing Process

Motivational iPhone Message Instagram Post.jpg

Believe it or not, microblading doesn’t damaged your brow hair so your brow hairs will continue to grow even after you have microblading! You’ve completed the healing process after your 6 week touch up, but now how do you maintain your now perfectly shaped brows once you start to notice those hairs grow in outside your microblaing?

  • Method 1 and my personal favorite: TINKLE RAZOR-

This is how I take care of mine! I’m lazy and love a quick fix. So if you’re anything like me, this method is for you! I take my tinkle razor in my right hand, and pull the skin around my brow tight. Place the razor parallel with the skin and shave those pesky brow hairs away! I go up to my my microblading strokes for the perfect shape EVERY TIME! (If you Accidently over shave, you should have your awesome microblading to hide it! No one will know.)

  • Method 2: TWEEZING-

Take your tweezers and grab the brow hair of your choosing, pull the brow skin tight and GENTLY tweeze the hair in the direction of the hair growth! This prevents damage to your hair follicle. Tweeze up to your microblading map and you’re good to go! Be sure to avoid touching the area for around 24-48 hours to avoid any breakouts!

  • Method 3: WAXING-

Please only go to a PROFESSIONAL for waxing, you see home kits all the time but I promise it is so much safer and worth it to go to a professional. We make sure the temperature is right, the wax is removed properly avoiding skin lifting due to waxing. That’s basically where the top layer of skin is ripped off due to improper waxing… not fun. Book a professional and inform them of your microblading and your preference to only have the hair removed up to the microblading strokes.

You can also still tint your brows if you want a for full look for your microblading! I get this done to mine regularly so I don’t have to wear ANY makeup on them even when I’m wearing a full face of makeup!

Make sure to keep an eye on the pigment in your brows! Once you notice them starting to fade, that is when you want to make sure to book your annual touch up.
