The Golden Ratio
So we’re gonna talk a little math for a second. Stay with me though because I PROMISE it’ll be worth it.
The Golden Ratio, also known as the Golden Mean, divine proportion, or golden section, is a number often encountered when taking Ratios of distances. The relation for the golden ratio is the relation of the two sizes 1 and 1.68.
The Golden Ratio is something we can find in all of our surroundings: flowers, buildings, galaxies, and especially in the human face and body! Hand bones are in the very exact proportion. It’s known to be the most visual appealing to the natural eye. The human face shows the golden ratio between the chin, nose, and lips. The width of the lips is in the relation to the width of the nose. The distance between the whites of your eyes is the golden ratio to the distance between the eyebrows. From shoulders to the top of toes, the elbow is the golden ratio. From the feet to the scalp, the navel is the golden ratio, etc.. I could go on an on.
This is how we find the correct shape for your brows! This helps ensure it is the most appealing to the human eye and is in correct proportion with the rest of your features. By using a Golden Ratio Caliper.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to go to a tech that uses this technique. Using this avoids brows that are too long, too short, and overall just look off which no one wants and everyone can see.
I use this technique in combination with your natural features to ensure that you will always receive the proper shape.
As always, feel free to email me with any questions or concerns!
